Fate of Konor Campaign Thursday 7/27 at OCC

Postby Farseer Jake » Tue Jul 25, 2017 11:26 pm

I've got a 50 power level (927 points, near as I can figure) list of Primaris Ultramarines looking to defend Konor against, you know, whatever you wanna bring to Gaby's OCC for a fun match. Chaos would fit the theme best but I'm just looking for a game and am not going to be remotely choosy about opponent armies.

It'd be my first game of 8th (had to cancel on a couple of previous offers because my friends are dumbasses who waited until the last second to pack up for their move and I had to drive down to Portland and help them a couple weeks ago- sorry @Morendie) so if you've got a few under your belt already you can probably count on a win. :p

I'm just looking for a friendly game or two. Got most of my Primaris painted up and want to try them out as a footslog army before the Repulsor drops in a couple weeks. I'll be there at or shortly after 10 am opening time if anyone wants to roll some dice.

10 am on a workday? Morendie can probably do it. I probably can't since I have a massage scheduled in the morning.

I may come to see how it is going after that.

I probably could, this could be a good time for me to use one of my armies that have been sitting on the shelf. Could utilize my gene stealer cult, been a while since I used them. what are the actual rules for the campaign? I keep seeing all this info but no actual info on how it works. Never played a campaign. Do we basically just play?

basically yeah; we play a game and then 'report' the outcome (Imperium win, Chaos win, Xenos win -> takes away a win from either Imperium or Chaos depending on how you're feelin') and that counts toward the global tally for determining the outcome in-lore. Presumably since OCC posted they're involved somebody (most likely Paul) there is the one we 'report' to.

I will probably honestly just bring a imperium army, i forgot I don't have the book for Tyranids and cult. But thats fine. I can scrounge up a 50 PL list

I won both games but our second game was more of a fight. He focused shot my custodes and my assassins, which was getting me worried, and then he brought all of his guys out of cover to charge me. Surprisingly my venerable dreadnought likes close combat. But we were both imperium so no matter what Imperium won the day. Going to work on a chaos army for the campaign.

It all works well on 50PL, instead of points. Nice simple short games.
