Stormsurge (finally finished)

Postby MaximusPrime79 » Mon Jan 18, 2016 8:28 pm

As the title says.... Working on my stormsurge now... as I cannot play it till its built and I cannot finish building it till its all painted...

So far I have a few odds and ends done... but... I figured I would post the pics of the cock pit all finished up... I took these pics before it all glued together and its harder to see it all.. Otherwise not sure people would even see all this work lol...

Enjoy!

The open cockpit on the Stormsurge is the only part of the model I don't like. That said, I appreciate you're taking the time to make something very few people will even see look good.

Yeah... I am not a huge fan of the open cockpit either... Why have a huge armored robot with a direct hole exposing the crew... But I guess GW needed to make it fancier to justify the price tag... Thanks for the compliments... I hope I can get this finished by the end of next month... We shall see...

My Storm Surge killed a StormLord in one turn last saturday killing 8 of the nne Kataphrons inside. On the other hand, i also only managed to get my ass kicked in melee against a Brass Scorpion for endless rounds. So there was that complicatin. Only did 6 hull points to him that time and eventually paid for it.

Thanks... I try... The way I look at it is I pay a lot of money for a model that looks as cool as GWs so why not take the time to really paint it and get what I pay for...

I've probably spent $8,000 on GW models over the last 15 years and I've never detailed a single cockpit, lol. I appreciate and respect your dedication.

Well to be fair, many of us pay for the ability to smash face with it. That it can be painted is just an added inconvenience. Hehehe.

Anywho, good job on it. Can't wait to see it fielded. Come get some.
