I kill the environment and strip everything with oven cleaner. Full an old glass pickle jar with models, spray oven cleaner, cap it off, wait 4 hours, run under warm water. Paint sloughs off with little prodding. Can leave plastics in oven cleaner for upwards of a year (accidentally proved this by forgetting I had models in there) without them melting or being ruined. Best way. Hands down. Smell lemon fresh afterwards. Use gloves when washing them off. A toothbrush will help to get trickier bits off.
Wherever and whenever they appear they leave only destruction in their wake; they are the Lords of Death, Bringers of War. They are the Dark Angels.
