American doctrine and availability, in roughly equal measures.

Russian lend-lease units can do it, with a CO and two sets of ten for 1,625...no stabilizers, though, and you have Hen & Chicks. For the US, later in the war they will start to open up...Blood, Guts, & Glory, for example, which is just before the Bulge, can have two in the HQ and two in each combat platoon for a total of eight.

Realistically, though that many US 76s would normally be overkill against a lot of opponents and a lot of scenarios. We have done unrestricted army list before, where you paid the points and ignored the build restrictions, but the mono-builds tended to not fare so well. Throw in a tankless opponent, and you're shafted.

Run all 76s as proxies, I'll bring an infantry list and show you how it works.

Overall it is viable, but for an attacking force, I always try to fit in some Recon, even if it costs me a tank or two. Also, you have lots of tank-killing, but not much stuff to dig out dug-in infantry, though massed machine guns will pin the snot out of them and gradually attrition them down.

A single section of Priests is pretty fragile, and can only do a single template...a little more points spent, and you can get a set of three Sherman 105s that can do a barrage, and also have Breakthrough guns; drawback is no staff team, so no Time on Target or Repeat Bombardments. Twenty Shermans on the nose...sound like the collection of anybody you know? Looks like this:

For the Recon, you can drop a single Sherman to get a Recon platoon with the jeeps upgraded to .50cals, bringing you to 1,500 on the dot.
