Name: Tyler Enz aka starwoof
Position: Forum Moderator
Description: I have been playing Warhammer 40k since I was like ten, eight or nine years ago. I have experience with most of the armies though I'm partial to things like chaos and orks. In my off time, which is most of it, I convert and occasionally deign to paint something, otherwise I'm scouring forums for knowledge. I also play fantasy and sometimes mordheim, necromunda, or bloodbowl.

Name: Derrick D. Cochran aka neonbasschild
Position: Head Admin
Description: I am king kong up in this itch. No really I just make sure that the site dosent break it self, answer questions about the site, and add new code to the site. O yeah and I own the site domain and server.... :P Plus sometimes I run some stuff for the site (campaigns and the like). What dont I do again. O yeah I dont play warhammer fantasy.... Magic bad!

Warmaster
Name: Andrew aka Andrew
Position: Warmaster
Description: I started playing Warhammer in the summer of 1994 and then started playing 40k that same winter, inspired by the battle report I read in White Dwarf 166 in which the Blood Angels and Brother Captain Tycho (yes, that one) faced off against the Orks for their inaugural 2nd edition battle report. I'm glad I picked up a game that was just as viable then as it is now at the age of 27. I worked at a game store(The Game Preserve) in Indianapolis for 6 years and ran their summer campaigns and summer leagues while employed there in college. I've also run various map campaigns with the different gaming groups I've been apart of for the last 15 years. I've played every (yes every) game that Games Workshop has come out with since then, but focus mostly on 40k these days.

Description: I can has cheesebruger, all the cheezeburger I want! I have been gamingh since I was 10, primarily D&D, WFRP and the Vidya Gamez but I did play a bit of Rogue Trader with cardboard discs to count as Spess Muhreenz and Orkz when I was a lad. I've been playing 40k for a year... And, um, YOUR FACE!!!

Street Team
Name: Josiah aka Purgatus
Position: Steet Team Leader
Description: I'm 25 (though I consider it a compliment that Andrew thinks I'm 30 ) I am married with a daughter who many of you may have seen around the shop. Some might think it's selfish of me to drag my kiddo to the FLGS so I can play 40k but she actually begs me to let her come so she can read comic books while daddy rolls dice. *tear* She makes me so proud! :D

I currently work for Washington State University's Extension Energy Program. We deal with all manner of energy efficiency and renewables, as well as Federal Grants programs and other fun Stimulus bill related stuff. If you want to know more, just ask.

Before that I worked for the Washington State Legislature for the Senator who's campaign I managed, and prior to that I have worked in campaigns, interned at the Legislature, interned at a lobbying firm, etc.

I spent 8 years in the US Marine Reserves, and did 1 deployment that was not a vacation. (Australia and Africa were definately a vacation). :D

Gaming Background:

I think the first RPG I played was a choose-your-own adventure formatted Lord of the Rings solo roleplaying game. It was formatted a lot like the Car Wars RPG books, you had a little "Character Sheet" that you kept track of your items and hit points, a little map that you could explore, etc. I was a nerd from an early age.

During the early years my buddies and I struggled to actually play the games we wanted to play consistently, which is pretty normal. We all owned plenty of books, (Rifts, D&D, some White Wolf before we knew any better, lol.) but without transportation we didn't play as much as we probably would have liked. I bought my first 40k army around this time, picking up some newly released Necrons (Which I recently traded to Crash, who seems to enjoy those buggers.)

College was my real hayday for gaming, getting into a steady D&D campaign. About 5 months ago I decided I wanted to get back into 40k again after getting settled into a job and a house, and discovering that there was a fantastic game store about 5 minutes from our new place (Gabbi's).

I have been reading a lot about the game, and feel like I am getting better all the time, though as some of these guys can attest there are still gaps in my rules knowledge.

I tend to think of myself as thoroughly enjoying every aspect of the hobby. I love competitive play, list building, conversion, painting, fluff, narrative campaigns, etc. I still enjoy RPGs as well, and my most recent game was a Dark Heresy campaign that I really enjoyed.

I look forward to growing the hobby for all levels of players. I think it would be neat to support a strategy gamers club at a local high school, and help others get into the hobby. I am stoked about Space Hulk being re-released. I think the possibilities for a steady Space Hulk group are immense, due to the low investment in models. I think it's a setting that lends itself to long term narrative campaigns as well. (Necromunda/Mordheim, in SPAAAACE.) Anyways, I love our little plastic soldiers, and think there is something in the pen and paper and tabletop genres that can't be replaced by computer games. I hope that we can show more and more folks how much fun these games can be. I look forward to my daughter getting involved in another few years!
